Strategically located at the entrance of Port Louis Harbour, the Mauritius Container Terminal is the undisputed link in the Indian Ocean connecting African, Australian and Asian trade and ideally poised on the south-south trade routes.
We are the main gateway to the Mauritian market with over 95% of the country’s containerized cargo being handled by us.
With our excellent Gate in / Gate out system, high level of security, ample availability of stacking area, fixed berthing window coupled with excellent relations shared with our partners and the overall port community through the CCS (Cargo Community System) as well as offering a round the clock service, we are considered amongst the leaders in the transshipment business among the Indian Ocean Islands.

SSR Multi-Purpose Terminal
The SSR Multi-Purpose Terminal is ideally located inside the harbour and is naturally protected from heavy swells thus facilitating loading and discharge of General Cargo and Bulk Cargo at all times. It has ample berthing facilities and an overall dredge depth of 12.2m along the quays. Types of cargo handled at the Terminal are detailed as follows:
